Adversities will shape a man. You choose whether that is for better or worse.

Pete Hohmann is a husband, a father to 3 amazing people, and a pastor. In that order. He is a childhood sexual abuse survivor. He is a compulsive gambler and alcoholic with 13 years clean and sober.

Pete is a guy that spent far too much time wallowing in his hurt, and it almost cost him everything. As a former worship pastor in a large church, he blew out spectacularly when his senior pastor was accused of child molestation. He fell into a 6-year-long, alcohol-fueled haze of anger and depression. His story is compelling. If we will allow him to, God can redeem any situation.

Through circumstances, his family wound up moving 500 miles away from their comfort zone and safety net of family and friends. He hit rock bottom the day his youngest was born, March 15, 2006. That day, his wife told him to get better or get out. Pete met Jesus.

Boots on the ground: Think of the person who hurt you and go to Luke 6:27-28. Work through this. Start praying about the person who hurt you. Then work on praying for them.
